Social infrastructure is indispensable for progress; as India’s leading builder of major infrastructure projects, we are committed to enhancing the quality of life of communities through various initiatives. Our approach emphasises creating long-term value and promoting sustainable development.
L&T recognises the importance of skill development in empowering individuals and fostering economic growth. We support 9 Construction Skills Training Institutes (CSTIs), offering various skill development programmes aimed at enhancing employability and creating livelihood opportunities.
By investing in skill development, L&T is not only boosting individual careers but also contributing to the economic prosperity of the communities it serves.
Health is a critical area where L&T makes significant contributions, through health initiatives that help communities have access to essential healthcare services. These include setting up health camps, supporting primary healthcare centres, and providing medical equipment and supplies. By focusing on preventive and curative healthcare, L&T aims to improve the overall health and well-being of communities.
L&T partners with communities, NGOs, and institutions to implement projects that provide sustainable solutions for water scarcity and sanitation. Through innovative water management systems and sanitation facilities, L&T helps create healthier living conditions and promotes sustainable agricultural practices, enabling communities to navigate the impact of Climate Change, ensuring nutritional food intake to prevent malnutrition, and building capacities of communities for sustainability.
Enhancing access to education, ensuring attendance in local schools and community learning centres, fostering a supportive learning environment both at school and in homes through active parental engagement, and building education infrastructure are some of the focus areas of our initiatives. One of our flagship programmes - Jyoti - promotes scientific rigor in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education.
This philanthropic organisation, formed and run by volunteers, provides community service to underprivileged sections of society located around L&T facilities.
The members of the Prayas Trust drive activities around the areas identified by L&T's CSR themes. They aid programmes in thrust areas like water and sanitation, education, health and skill-building.
